Andrea Bargabos

Andrea Bargabos holds a Masters of Music, cum laude, from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a Bachelor of Music, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Her teaching experience began in her undergraduate when asked to teach violin, viola and voice to local students in Duluth, reaching at her pinnacle, 40 students. She was later appointed as Voice Adjunct Faculty at UMD. After receiving her Masters from CIM, she taught voice at Lakeland Community College and Garfield Heights High School in Cleveland, Ohio until her appointment as faculty in the Distance Learning Department at the Cleveland Institute of Music. 
Her performance credits include the Governess in Britten's Turn of the Screw, Queen of the Night in Mozart's The Magic Flute, Rosalinda in Strauss' Die Fledermaus, Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte, Rosina in Rossini's Barber of Seville, and Countess Almaviva in Mozart's Marriage of Figaro. She has performed numerous opera galas featuring works by Verdi, Donizetti, Bizet, Lehar, Richard Strauss, Puccini, and Johann Strauss. Her affiliations include Opera Roanoke, Cleveland Opera, Lyric Opera Cleveland and has been asked to return to the University of Minnesota Duluth for Alumni performances. She also frequently performs new music, performing two One Act Operas by Milton Granger, compositions by Margaret Griebling-Haigh, Orianna Webb, Peter Gilbert and others.  She is under the management of Dietsch Internationale Associates.

Miss Crouse received a Master in Music and Artist Diploma from The New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, MA where she participated in the acclaimed Opera Theatre program under the baton of John Moriarty.   Miss Crouse completed her undergraduate studies at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA focusing on vocal performance.  She has performed with many local opera companies in the greater NY region including Connecticut Lyric Opera, Regina Opera, and Amato Opera among others in roles which include Juliette, Romeo et Juliette; Gilda, Rigoletto; Zerbinetta, Ariadne auf Naxos; Lucia, Lucia di Lammermoor; Musetta, La Bohème; Adele, Die Fledermaus; Oscar, Un Ballo in Maschera; Adina, L’Elisir d’Amore, Pamina and Queen of the Night, Die Zauberflöte; Frasquita, Carmen; Marie, La Fille du Regiment and Gretel, Hansel and Gretel.  As a concert solo artist Miss Crouse has sung The Messiah with The Queens Orchestral Ensemble, NY, and The Brahms Requiem and Mozart Requiem with Gonzaga University Orchestra and appeared in several concerts with The Hempstead Liederkranz and as featured artist for Nordöstlicher Sängerbund and the Delaware Symphony.   Additional oratorio credits include Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and the Fauré Requiem.  Musical Theater roles performed include Grace Farrell, Annie; Mabel, The Pirates of Penzance; Mrs. Nordstrom, A Little Night Music; Soprano, Side by Side by Sondheim and Philia, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.  Currently Miss Crouse also teaches Vocal Performance and Opera Theater at The Brooklyn Queens Conservatory of Music (Queens Campus) and Voice at the Center for Preparatory Studies in Music in at Queens College.  Awards include the Metropolitan Opera Audition Regional Finalist in 1994 and 1997 and the Spokane Allied Young Artist Award in 1994.
