Ms. Lince has been working with children and young students for over ten years. She has worked as a music teacher at the Children’s Talent Education Center and Immaculate Conception Academy (school for girls) in the Philippines integrating Kodaly Method and Dalcoze Eurythmics. Ms. Lince also spent time at the Hopes and Dreams Montessori Nursery School and Prospect House School in London, United Kingdom while obtaining her Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching Course at the Montessori Centre International. She specializes in using body movement and children’s voices to introduce, teach, and develop music in children as young as 3 years old. Vilma Lince obtained her Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Santa Isabel College in her native Philippines. Back in the Philippines, she has performed in various professional theater musicals and choruses. Her theater credit includes South Pacific, Sound of Music, Oliver, Hansel and Gretel, Jack and the Beanstalk, Alikabok (Dust), Walang Sugat (No Wound), La Traviata, Handel's Messiah, and Beethoven's 9th Symphony (Ode to Joy). She serves as a board member of the Association of Filipino Teachers of America, AFTA in educating and increasing awareness of the Philippine Culture to Filipino-American children through history, music, and the arts. Ms. Lince is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Childhood and Childhood Special Education (1-6) at St. John's University.
